ok, i've just aquired a z16se engine,
Now i'll be ditching injection system and fitting carbs.(40's or R1's)
what i'd like to know is, will it be ok to fit head gasket for say a C/E16se?
will that affect compression?

it shouldn't be much different, but why not just get the correct gasket?

i have a gasket laying around for e16 thought i may be able to use it.:thumb:

IIRC Z16SE is lower compression, they have flat top pistons also as they are low rated in the astra, they use a metal head gasket.

what would be best way to get the compression up on said engine?
change pistons? head skim?
i'm not clever at working this thing out:roll:
