Is there anything I need to be careful of when painting an engine?

Like can you paint the head and block (2.0 8v)

Or will the heat burn the paint off?

Also what's the best thing to use to get it ready for paint?

I'm going to use gunk and a wire brush drill attachment...

Any other solutions?

Dan

Dont paint the cam like a member on here did for some un known reason.

Make sure every orrafice is sealed, and that you clean what your painting thorughly.

I would TFR the block, then thinners the whole thing by hand with a rag.

Then get some hammerite rattle can on there.

Black and silver suit an engine, dont use white, unless your a clean freak.

Traffic Film Remover.

Amazon, of all places seem to do the strongest stuff.

I got some off there, for about £10 delivered for 5 litres, throw it at stuff, paintbrush it about, then jetwash off.

Reet beuty:)
