View Full Version : Border idiots at Heathrow.
This made me laugh. When we got back on Thursday, upon arriving at Heathrow and exiting the plane, I would guess the plane was 80% full of brasillians.
There were four blokes standing before we got to customs who were randomly stopping people to check their documents. Fair enough, i thought, until one of them stopped a bloke in front of me who had a London accent and a red passport. He proceeded to ask him where he will be staying, and how long for. The guy looked dumfounded! 'Er, I live here' he said. Unfortunately I didn't get to hear the rest of the conversation.
300 odd Brasillians walked past him, and he picked on a British national to ask immigration questions! lol

he wasn't trying to make a run for his underground train was he?? lol
Sounds about right for this country lol
We can't go offending miorities now. He knows the Brit won't complain!
Ludicrous. lol
my uncle used to work on passport control... you'd be amazed what lengths people have tried to get into the country...someone obviously brazillian is easier to check, cos they have to have a visa from the uk to be allowed into the country with addresses & dates on it.... whereas someone coming into the country with a stolen/illegal eu passport with a group of real brits is a clever way of sneaking in. once several thousand portugese passports got nicked, and my uncle was posted on the eurostar & was very busy, cos he speaks portugese..... he personally chucked out a lot of people on that scam.
Tut tut, you know they're not allowed to racially profile people. Of course we should just ignore 99% of terrorists are dodgy looking arabic blokes with beards, and the authorities all know that... but some privately-educated hippy brits might get upset and accuse them of being racist. Soooo yeah. lol
terrorists are rather good at getting through border controls.... its more likely illegal immigrants & idiot drug mules that they are after......
aww Lee, you must of passed my home town.. Staines. Nice aint it! yeah. lol

Staines is a beautiful place :) the night sky lit up by burning cars & the dawn corus of semi automatic gunfire.

This was at the end of the ramp on dis-embark though, we were nowhere near customs. They were just random checks.
My first thought would be to random check a Brasillian, not a bloody brit! And he was alone, not in a group of people. I think the customs guy was just brainless unfortunately.

Its just a presence, they probably picked the brit so they didn't have to ask many questions or pay for an interpreterlol

they really aren't that stupid. the bloke could have been on the sex offenders register, or a have a red flag against his name for a previous offence, but they do do totally random checks and get some surprising luck with them.
