having a few problems with my amp

i havent got a clue why my amp cuts out when i blip the throttle the amps fused but i havent got a power cap for it and im running 4awg wire to it

Power surge from the alternator? What is the amp earthed to? And thus should be in the ICE section...

its earthed to rear seat belt

Have you cleaned underneath it? The wire should be on bare metal, and is the earth wire at least as thick as the power wire?

earth to the rear seatbelt, mine was earthed to that and my dash lights kept dimming underpower and amp would cut out into protect mode. there will be an earth point in the boot under trim/carpet locate that and use it and that should sort your problem
