astra GTE dash in a mk1 nova help

iv got a astra gte digital dash and want to put it into a mk1 nova dash board anybody able to help with what i need and what to cut to fit it???

cheers looked threw that one its great for the wiring but i was wanting to use the old mk1 dashboard as i dont really like the mk2's
i remember there was website for this think it was ova-land or sumthing showed pics of how much to cut and what was needed for geting a good finish/fit

Nova-land was the site but not sure if it exists anymore, it is possible to fit a digi dash to a mk1 dash, but a mk2 is sooo much nicer and easier to fit it into, youd be best off changing to a mk2, btw see my sig for the mk1 dash health warning!

Spud, mk1's and their dashes FTMFW :d the original and proper nova dash

A few people off here have fitted digi dash in mk1 dashes, alot of work with brackets and cutting the dash iirc

spud only likes mk2 dashes cos they remind him of cav mk3 ones, and and as they are smaller, he gets more pleasure from them

Umm a mk2 nova dash looks nothing like a mk3 cav you plum:p


I prefer mk2 dashes cos they look better and theyre not carcinogenic lol

if i remeber correct when you fit digi dash to the mk1 dash you use the plastic surround off the mk2 astra it goes inside the dash between the dials dash. otherwise there is a gap

i have some old guides somewhere we take a look an see if i have it, dont get your hopes up though

i prefer the proper nova dash (mk1) and mk2's have been done to death even when they were new lol

That's the one. Can trim the Nova surround if need be though.

I put the digi in a mk1 many moons ago and cut the back of the dash to the shape of the digi and secured it with brackets there was no filler or surround fitted only downside was to remove the digi you had to take the dashboard out lol
