anybody got any tips to clean the insides of the rear lamps?
been told to stick them in the dish washer?

Yeah i wanted something a little different, but with a homey feel.

I use a rag on a stick and warm soapy water.

These have to be the only ones i think work, front indicators are clear, most people change side reps for clear, so it makes sense the rear indicators are clear, and the rear reflectors stay red to meet the mot regs:d

Plus they have boh reverse AND fogs on each side. Legal and useful lol

I'm actually liking the twin reverse, and I used to hate it ;/ need to photochop some on the rear of mine I think. Standard for now though, on the road= win lol

LED, can't remember exctly how many LEDs on each bulb though - possibly 19 or 24...

Ebay specials :) [edit] The reverse bulbs are simple sidelight bulbs, two in each which is surprisingly bright. Good enough to see behind me come reversing time anyway!

Ewwwwwwwwwww tint spray is that worse! Only way it it might work is if you lacqer it after so they are shiney like they should be..

Haven't seen any tinted ones for sale in ages tho..

No no no, you need the ones with LEDS all around the sides too, Or the light they give is just a dot. I had this in the clears and tinted. You just get a red dfot in the middle, get the ones with leds all round and they light up like a bulb..

No, separate bulbs. Nobody seemed that interested/keen on them when I originally did it and put pics up so I never bothered with a how-to.

I'll probably cover it when my WIP gets to that stage. Soooo... don't hold your breath lol

Are these clear lights tinted?

Yes. Masked off the indicator bit, red laquer then clear laquered the whole unit. These were my first and only attempt. Quite a few like this, but i think they look good.
