Anyone know where I can have one made? Need a shorter belt for the vxr engine and my local belt/bearing specialists cant get me one in for 5-6 weeks! Bar stewards

what sort of belt? Aux belt?

If so, there must be one of an obsure model that will fit - assuming you know the measurements get to an old school factor who has an abundance of single-v belts!

Yeh for the alt and water pump. It's a 5 groove flat belt. I know the measurements etc, might have to trip down my local factors see if they've got anything then, I suppose Leicester bearings will be just looking at main suppliers etc

wrap a piece of string round where it has to go then go to halfords they have loads you just have to look through and get one roughly the same length as the string.
thats how i got mine.

IIRC motor factors will have a book with the dimensions in it. Ball ache to find one, but at least it will solve you problem.

what length is it? I'll have a look at what we have at work tomorrow, we keep hundreds of belts

the 5 ribs are known as 5pk, then the length will be stated after that. motor factors will have alot of belts around, so you'll get one some where near.

Lol more than likely, I'd like to know how much regal and courtenay would charge for the custom flywheel I had made direct from their supplier :p
