nova not starting

hey there i cant get ma 1.2 nova started if you tow it and bump start it it will fire but when u put the toe down nothing happends and u dip the clutch it wont idle dose enyone have eny ideas :thumb:

Battery could be totally f#@ked

chassis earth strap? battery? what model, carb or inj???? if carb, it could be the dizzy or coil

spi mate it will only start if you bump it mate its got a 1.4 head on it with a high lift cam

If after everything you get stuck, I had this with mine years ago. Turned out to be the cat blocked up, which I never though of at the time. But I can't see it being that from the symptoms.

Just check absolutely everything, every wire and pipe. Hope it goes well mate

no mate only works if you bum start it but u dont get eny power or nothing and wont idle

stick a standard cam back in it, I'd put a tenner on it solving your problems lol

if its a 1.4 SPi head yes...if its a carb or MPi head then no

its a 1.4 spi head how would you get it to run with that cam in to save takeing it apart

Its because the compresion is lower with the 1.4 head on.
You have two choices remove head and refit 1.2 head or remove head skim the **** out of it to get the compresion back up.
