i heard it'll fry itself cos the heat usually escapes upwards through the heatsink fin things, turning it upside down sends the heat back into the amp therefore overheating and frying the circuits. u could always rig up some small fans to blow air over/through the amp, i think maplin sell some?

a heatsink holds heat, the air around the heatsink cools it. the fact its upside down i wouldnt have fort it a effected this :) but you could always email a car audio place, and ask them?theyd prob no best.
