Ok so i have found a 1.6 carb,d 8v out of an old cavalier unfortunatly it is a automatic. will a gte/gsi gearbox fit. Or would it just be best of buying a gte lump and putting my 1.4 head on?:confused: I just want a lil more low down power , Happy new year to all on the site!:)

are you sure its a small block? IIRC some 1.6 Cavs are big block which is obviously no use to you. If it is a small block though then your F13 will bolt straight up. Is this 1.4 head you have off an NV or an SE?

NV mate its a g plate 1.4 sr. I no about the inlet ports on injection models. I have been told this but i presumed they would be the same as gte/gsi

if it is a small block it will be a 16NV so pretty sure it uses the same head as the 14NV. When will you be able to find out if its small/big block?
