is it true if i use a f16 or smaller on a redtop i can use all my standered nova gear and f20 you have to use coversion shafts and what not?????? more info the better cheers

F16 is still a big block box

F15 or lower are small block (F17 is also small block)

and will the f15 bolt to the 16v or will the flywheel need adapting??

and also does the f17 have a longer ratio to the f15??

I'm not sure what clutch/flywheel combo needed to fit a small block box on a big block engine, have a look on threads Fow16v made hes doing this on his Nova

As for the F17 iirc they were all hydraulic clutch so no good on a Nova

it is possible to fit a 2.0 16v to an f13/f15 type of box, with an astra 1.7 diesel flywheel & clutch
