thats some pretty good work there, the floor pan and subframe look very similar if not the same on my S3 and that V6 is really small for a 3.2 iirc its a very slim V at only around 15 degrees.

It's not quite a V really, it only has the one head, the cylinders are only offset by about an inch if that.

That was quite a read! If only I had a fraction of their fabrication skills/capabilities then I'd be a happy man! I take it the car isn't finished yet? Would be nice to see the final thing. Lets not forget that he mk1 Golf was a working show car before it was chopped up, that must have brought a tear to someone's eye....

like the vr6 lumps

Anyone guess why the angle is so small?

I have my own theory,
by not having the 6 cylinders in a straight line they are able to make the block narrower from left to right, also by keeping the angle very narrow the depth of the engine is not increased very much either thus making it a very compact engine for it's capacity and number of cylinders and keeping it a transverse mounted engine aswell.

Exactly like a VR6 lump, because well, it's a VR6 lump :p

And yeah that'd be the reason bazil, easily development of 4 cylinders to 6 cylinder power.

Nice work there.

As above, bit of a mare, but i guess they hope the bush wont need changing!

Some serious thought has gone into it though. Even getting the press marks to match with the original Golf and the donor mk5 bulkhead.

the smallest 3piece version is 16 inch, 7j.
1 piece version starts at 16 inch 7,5j (there's also a 15 inch, but that starts at 8j)

IIRC they did make Revolution RFX's (1 piece) in 16x6 ET49 but trying to find some is impossible (I tried and failed!!)

It's about time SOMEONE did the four wheel drive conversion properly.

If you can't make it look stock you're a cock.

image wheels does a version of them aswell.

**

i had a quick look, they can do 5stud, and in 16 inch they start at 5.5J. (iirc you can choose the offset aswell).

only problem.. there 3 piece wheels, and you dont like the bolts.

Not a huge fan, but link me anyway.. Going back to 4stud isn't really a prob.

If you can't make it look stock you're a cock.the whole point of going 4wd is for the better traction and handling though surely? and therefore why not make your life easy and stick with the wider track to make use of the better stability this brings as well
