I need some help with the camber on the front of my saloon, it's lowered 100mil on 15Inch Porsche teledials with 165 stretched tires the only problem i'm having is i've only had the tires on a week and the insides already look a bit dodgy, it's lowered using just springs and standard shockers but now i have severe camber issues and don't know how to sort it, can someone help me please!!???

Adjustable top mounts or camber bolts.

I have the latter on my corsa and they have been fine, Not had any "hit pothole, bolt came lose" scene like some people suggest.

Edit: Have you had the tracking done since being lowered? That will do more damage than camber will.

Ali, your problem is the fact its sooo low on non camber adjustable dampers, you need either coilovers and or camber bolts, or you could pikey it by dropping your strut off, and elongating the top hole where the hub bolts into the leg, this way you can nip the nuts up when you refit it, and slide the top bolt out a little and straighten up the camber of the wheel, it sounds pikey but FK coilovers have a slotted top hole to allow this so i dont think it would be too pikey to do it yourself lol

you might think it is pikey, but it was actually in the gm service manual as the method of sorting out camber issues.

Well i thought id call it the pikey method before anyone else jumped on me for saying it lol

Steviegsi, he has been a very jammy git with that loon, it has 20k from new on it when he bought it, it was local to us for years and it was parked on the petrol station forecourt next to the old guys house for years until some n00bs tried to steal it, got it wrong and burnt out the wiring loom, it was written off and some guy bought it as a repairable and did nothing with it, its been sat in a garage forgotten about until he got it, i wont say how much he got it for but it was cheap, ten mins after he got it home i offered him double what he had paid for it and he refused cos he is ghey:cry:

lmfao at 100mm drop on standard dampers lol lol
Elongate the top hole and try that, when you get it summat like, weld the washer to the stut to keep it there, mine moved after a while on my old coilovers so welded it and it stayed.

I have to join in here. It looks OK. Not my style, but certainly not the worst I have seen.

However I am sick of people thinking they are lauding their otherwise cheapass/standard/slow/boring cars over others just because they got a set of ebay coilovers, some spacers and a set of Porsche rims.

I don't get why jealousy should be felt by anyone.

It's mostly the t0ssers that run tiny engined Golfs and Polos that seem to think they are a cut above, and why?

Yes, wheels make the car, but that doesn't mean it's all it needs to be awesome. Some look great and need little else, but I always find the less people do the more they want their e-dick sucked!

It boils my p!ss. lol

Thats it in words like Liam.

Im wondering how and why german tuning is becoming popular here though, whatever happened to Fiesta XR2's with spotlights and pepperpots lol

I didn't mean you personally mate. :thumb:

When I was driving the Volvo in the summer I rounded a corner (legally) and some little punk in a 9N Polo on D90's/roofbox/stickers and the obligatory floppy hat took his eyes completely off the road and was just fixated on my Superlites.

I bet he couldn't even tell you the colour of the car they were on, let alone what it was.

All they see is WHEEEEEEELSSS! lol

You will probably find yourself in debt to him for a hell of a lot of dollar, there used to be an original XR3 down my street years back and they got taken off the car one night and the guy never found a replacement set, iirc he lost heart in the car and weighed it a year later, twas a suffix Y reg (i think) and was rot free aswell:eek:

Theyre rarer than clean original un-ringed, un-restored nova sports from what i gather!

Sure they weren't RS1600i wheels John? (lol)

Even those shouldn't have been that hard to find though. Saying that, imagine how many sets of 'ugly' clover leafs have been fragged over the years!

I'd totally rock a boog mk3 XR3i now!

Oi! lol mk3 are both XR3 and XR3i. The RS1600 is a mk1. The Rs1600i is a mk3 machine :p . Obviously mk4's are XR3i's,

You're making me wonder now! lol. Time to see what the book of lies says. lol
