i have read the 1.4 8v tuning guide in the articles section ect and my 1.4 engine has twin 40s and exhaust system on it.

should i change the head and what cam should i go for?

i have seen so good cams from shriek but i dont understand the lift and duration ect any ideas what would be good to further tune this engine?

thankyou

The 1400 head can be sorted to flow quite well, not as well as the 1300, i would reccomend a kent ast2 cam with uprated valve springs and a vernier pulley :)

is that part of the kent cam kit you can buy on internet?

also if i fitted 1300 head would i need a different inlet manifold for the 40's?

Aren't 1200 and 1300 basically the same head?

try a 1200 head gas flowed ported ect. with a 1600 8v cam in it, it works the same as a 1400 high lift cam accept cheaper ;) also get both manifolds mated to the head will give you an over all better flow through?

cheers del.
