Open the bonnet, look on the slam panel, there should be a silver black metal plate with information on it. At the bottom of that plate ıt'll have 'COLOUR' (or something similar) and a code next to it i.e. 10L. That is your colour code.

as above, there are 2 ''vin'' plates on my nova, one that is the silver/black one mentioned, and a colour coded one with the trim codes and colour codes etc on it.

Its on the colour coded one, it'll be a two or three digit number with a L after it

It should also be on the VIN plate too. Some MK1's had codes with no 'L' i.e. which starts with an 'E'

I think yours will be glacia white if you google vauxhall paint codes it will give you a chart and it will say the code the colour and what year it was used . It will give you a better idea mate

Yeah the crossmember which the bonnet closes on to.

Slam panel it's called.

Being a early white, it would normally be Polar white (10L)

Benn I don't think polar white is 10L - it's 11L according to Duick's thread linked above

Oops maybe 10L is Arden blue..lol

Think it's glacier white.

474/10L,10U: Glacier White, Casablanca White (91-) Polar White (-91)

What my list gives...

12L is Arden blue.

11L gives...

0389/11L,11U,40A: Enamel White, Artic White (98- )

Which wouldn't have been used on a Nova.
