hiya

Av alook at my car here http://www.a-whiteman.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/car/

pics near bottom of the arch, when i took them i hadn't blended it in at all.

That was done by

knock the loose rust away,
clean area
apply rust stopper
fibre glass if needed like i had to
filler
sand back using wet and dry getting finer as you go
primer, thin coats
sand back primer 1200 wet and dry

do the primmer thing for about 5 coats ish

clean area

top coat
sand back 1500 wet and dry

repeat bout 5 times

dunno bout laqure, i didn't but might do next time,

leave for 2 weeks if using a can for the paint to harden.

blend in with rubbing compound

polish and jobs a gud en

:)

if i've missed summet i'm sure aome one will say so

Thats probably the best way, however...

1. Hammer
2. Angle Grinder
3. Flame Torch - cut good arch out of a scrapper
4. MIG Welder to place the good arch in the place of the bad one.
5. ?50 to a mate to tidy-up and spray.
