C20XE plastic/metal crank sensor?

As above whats the difference in them i know that the metal ones early and plastics late but is there any other difference in them.

The reason i ask is that ive got a plastic one from a 1.8spi connected which has the same part no as the late XE one and it seems to stick at certain revs when slowing down but with the metal one in it dosent. So hence my reason for asking if theres any other difference.

theres no diffrence between the plastic one and the metal one mate i got the plastic one on mine just a bit cheaper to make i expect

Technically as others have said there shouldn't be a difference but the metal ones work much better with aftermarket management for some reason.
