naty stickers, bumpers,bonnet! & spoiler.
WTF @ the exhaust & the sideskirts!! The whole thing is 'proper nasty'. Did your mate build it? I'd say it was probably 10 years in the making & might have been cool at the planning stage.....
Like Novas they only look nice when they closelky resemble how they left the factory. Shame really.

Cool cars in standard form.
Nothing cool about that one though, 15years ago maybe.

i actually dont mind the look of that. I think R5s are the only car out there that will always suit a bodykit and wacky exhausts/etc. They are a proper boyracer car and theres no point in hiding that fact, even in 10/20 years time i hope people who have stored R5s still have bodykits on them.

I like r5gtts in standard form but as said that would have been cool 10-15yrs ago when bodykits were the norm.

To me it has been totally ruined, but I am Old Skool:roll: and old ishlol
One of my friends bought a new one (89 F) and I couldn't believe how fast these things were in the day, and still quick for a 1.4 turbo
There was a fairly clean one at York Dragway in October, looked great apart from the dent in the drivers door

Snap. I saw a standard one of these not too long ago being driven by an old man, it was mint and in white as well, I just stood there with the old gob wide open in amazement.
EDIT:

best way to help your friend is mod it for him, crank up the bleed valve to max then hopefully with the price for a rebuild 2 miles down the road should mean she'll be recycled :p
dont like the bonnet, rear bumper, those sootpipes...

Yeah, it looked like he turned up 10 years to late. lol
Was quite strange having a over worked "5" banging out "tunes", parked up next to a Lotus Carlton, Lancia Stratos. Escort Cosworths etc.
the one i posted was built by k-tec afaik. was rotten though and was reshelled into a utter minter of a more door

look at the size of the rads, no wonder they over heated, my cav's rad was the size of the R5 and that over heated on full boost chat lol
reminds me of ali g's yellow one lol
dirty more door gtt reshell (bumper had to be fitted for intercooler etc, then so did the bonnet)

Intercooler water spray to try and keep the act's down from running 5 bar through a t28 turbo lol
A mate of mine owns GT Tunings BIG GTT plated 5, its actually a very nice subtle car with around 240hp, it came with 48k worth of reseipts, mainly for the 10 or so engines it had killed and I know he has had it rebuilt more than twice !
Totally rubbish cars in highly tuned form

Intercooler water spray to try and keep the act's down from running 5 bar through a t28 turbo lol
bingo...not sure what the turbo was though some sort of hybrid one, that went bang and then the cam chain snapped, thus hence the 4 years of it being dumped in a shed before being reshelled

I like standard form Renault 5 turbos but I always wanted a tuned one of these when I was younger.

My dad ran one of these when he worked at Renault when I was a kid.

That green one the OP posted makes me feel ill, standard or nothing for me.
My old one which for the record was fairly highly tuned and never had any overheating or headgasket problems as it was done properly.

Really like these cars. Hardly see them about, like Novas, they are probably all rotten! As someone else said, these are better when modified in a subtle way. OTT bodykits look shat. Period!
Id have another one anyday.

Haven't got any pictures of mine, was standard red and very reliable.
However my brother had the one above a few years ago, 250bhp, he'd had it about 2 hours before it blew up........ with me driving:(
Nice cars if modded tastefully or left standard but that first one looks terrible

Yeah, I prefer the standard look generally. Although with a nice set of wheels and a bit of a drop you can't go wrong, preferably Stealths on a GTT
Aye blood that is like totally wicked innit a mean those exhaust's should be illegal there so bangin
