yeah the mk2 used to have a cosworth engine in it and be 4 wheel drive using sierra running gear but couldnt logbook it as a 4x4 so its back to 2 wheel drive and was told the cosworth lump would cost far more to get half decent amounts of power out of?

A 4WD Mk1/2 Escort is just wrong lol the Cosworth YB has always been an expensive lump to tune, especially in normally aspirated form, but capable of pretty impressive power figures

yeah i agree atleast its sorted out now some pretty noce parts sitting about for it aswell the audi rally evo and escort all have proflex suspension the rams on them are bigger than most shocks iv seen.lol more than a grand a corner just for the shocks and springs ok to have money eh.lol

yeah that is my favourite one aswell its stupidly quick when he puts the foot down you are stuck to the back of the seat till he lets off SCARY but fun.lol

for a plant hire contractor he does rallying and rents out lockups to other rally people and people who do projects etc as say some cool stuff about just need people about to let me in there sheds.lol

whats the crack with the S1? i was at protec in around 2002 and they were rebuilding a genuine ex works car,

well my boss built it from scratch spent some money on it just really uses it for historic rallys and it and the escort are rallying in barbados this year cant remember when tho. the evo is his usuall rally car

no mate a quattro turbo shell with the a pillar conversion and properly shortened which is really easy to do i overlooked the whole operation just alot of measuring and drilling spot welds that hold it together

fook me that a good job then, the pillers ( standard ones ) are easy to spot, suppose with a good cage its all you need, have you see that white S1 build on the s2 forum? iirc the guy is scottish and going for 700-900bhp lol

no havent mate will have to look where exactly he from? my work mate has one as well its got 650ish horse short wheelbase with the wide arches and basicly looks a shorter quattro with wide arches it has kevlar front wings rear quarters roof skin bonnet boot boot spoiler bumpers and doors its stupidly quick and light will get pics of the beast i prefer it to the s1 tbh
