Rear strut braces arnt pointless tho. As long as they are fitted to the turrets on the body. Not the shock tops.

Well i figured if the question was being asked, It wasnt going to be a weld in item.

Even if it was a pre-fabbed corsa item, it wont fit.

its just a bolt in one, i no they aint the best, but a lad with a nova has been asking about it and i didnt know if it would fit

As long as it dont bolt to the shock tops its ok, but a Corsa one will not fit a Nova.

Why, they do the same job in either location, just one is less permanant.

your mate could do a funky pipe bending thing to it so it looks engineered. but it is still as much use as a balsa wood fire poker.

You're not stopping flex with the shock tops as they are rubber mounted.

Why, they do the same job in either location, just one is less permanant. look at where the stress loading is on the rear suspension..... not very much of it is on the rear dampers.. most goes into the rear spring mounts. (unless you have rear coilovers fitted)

in a well thought out competition car, the rear cage will have a x brace that will incorporate the rear struts thus transferring the stress load in a vertical plane, which is where the force is directed off the rear struts.

there is practically zero sideways force acting on the strut, the beam mounts make sure of that. which renders the rear brace worthless

a rear brace that fixes between the top bolts is only any good at keeping the woofer from hitting the seats. you may as well just fit harder poly bushes

Dave i'm shocked! :( ;)

When i first tacked my brace in, you could feel the difference just driving in a straight line..
