Hi all currently drive a astra vxr which i love but ive been after a project for ages, was torn between a vts or nova,as ive had a vts before ive decided on a nova, but know nothing about them  :d
Looking on here there seem to be a few good ens but was hoping you could give me a few tips on what to look for etc when buying, cant wait to get my hands on one, good old, old school tuning an not having to worry about air bags an weather the sidelights i get are compatable with the canbus on my vxr
Anyway cheers all an look forward to any help you guys can provide :)

RUST!!! Look everywhere for it but especially rear arches and chassis legs, sills, inner wings and front crossmember. Mechanically they are cheap to maintain and repair so go on bodywork condition :) and welcome to PNG mate
As above basically! They rust everywhere :p But most panels can be still bought via Beevers (reproduction panels) although there are still genuine panels out there, but are rare & expensive..

boot corners too. basically if its metal...check it
cheers guys :) so any problematic engines to avoid or are they all pretty good? i plan on z20let eventually but obviously wouldnt be straight away unless i get a good one thats already been done
any engine is good, if its not been beaten to death...
my 1.3 was pretty nippy
and the 1.2 doing 120 is only a myth ;) lol
good luck on a ZLET, there's only one that i know of, and its not running yet..
what would be a better bet a c20?
battery tray
inner wings
headlights
boot floor
behind both bumpers
try and get a mk1 as they rot less.

Mk1 is upto 1990, they are usually identifiable by the larger, squarer headlights and older styling
