hey am a newbie, may be getting hold of a mk1 nova saloon but before i do i want to know a few things;

where do i get one of them square style grilles from?
are the side strips on the saloon stuck or screwed on?
what wheels do everyone fit, was looking for 15s and maybe 40-60mm drop so that it is still driveable even to mcdonalds!! :)

i think the car is an 'l' version what is spec like do they have stereos etc and rear seat belts? i wanna try and maybe get it caged and stripped out with 2 bucket seats in maybe so does a hatch cage fit?

sorry for all the questions :)

Word, get some piccys up when you get to 15 posts, but don't spam sometimes severe punishments are issued for breeches of the rules

Welcome to PNG

Ebay, for sale ads on here... keep an eye out. I have one in my shed that I may part with at some point, but its not in great condition.

Glued on with double sided stuff, which is an **** to get off. Heat gun & plastic scraper are your friend. If you have an early (<C reg?) one you may find they have small clips rivetted in though.

Anaything really, saloons have the correct shape arches so tolerate duff sized wheels better than hatchbacks. Try to keep under 7" wide and offset around 40-49.

so that it is still driveable even to mcdonalds!! :)
And you were doing so well lol :tard:

L is poverty spec so don't expect anything fancy. Rear belts should be there again unless its a really early one. Hatch cage should fit fine.

rounded arches means you can ling on 17s down 60mm with minor arch rolling ;)

Standard Nova offset is 49, centre bore is 56.6mm

The grille and bumper will be separate, no saloon came with the all-in-one bumper.

Late Mk1 (D-H reg):

Early Mk1 (Y-D reg):

So '85 will be the early type.
