how would you go about insuring a car with a bike engine fitted just lets say for talking sake how and what would be the best way of going about it?

Ring up your insurance company and ask, cant imagine it being different from normal car insurance but obviously you would have to tell them about the enigne but i may be wrong

it would have to be changed on the logbook then have it checked over by vosa then soon as the yes is given you just insure your car as you would

Would be just as per any other engine conversion, just leave it up to the insurance company how they deal with it. As above though, the car probably would need SVA etc and probably end up as a Q plate so be insured as a cutom build

my mate fitted a busa turbo to his 700cc bondbug and they werent bothered about what the engine was from just put it down as a 1.3 not on engine performance, so win win 320bhp upgrade for not a lot more insurance
