View Full Version : which browser to change to?
I'm getting fed up of the epic crapness of IE, so its time to change. I know a lot of people like FF but is it the best? anything else worth considering?

All of the above are good, opera uses the least memory, and is the fastsest opening pages:thumb:

Opera is ok but its weird at first it does (or did) have one advantage over firefox which I cant remember now for some reason, but apart from that its not as good as firefox in my opinion.

Built in torrent client?
And lewis, its a differant os (operating system)
Say windows xp, seven, etc
Well I did run ubuntu, and kubuntu.
Google it, you will see:thumb:

its the kid from charlie brown who sucks his thumb
Thats Linus lol
Firefox would be my choice, mainly as I like the plethora of addons. I do recall there being a glaring security hole in Opera, not sure if they've fixed it yet.
No need to uninstall IE if you want Firefox. I use both.

I downloaded Firefox earlier, and so far I'm very happy, what add odds are available?
Quite a lot really, have a look on https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/
The ones I find most useful are:
Download Statusbar (gives you a small progress bar in the main firefox status bar, avoiding using the downloads popup each time)
Download Videohelper (can download embedded videos and music)
DownloadThemAll (a download queue client)
FireTorrent (torrent client for firefox)
Image Zoom (can zoom in and out of images on pages)
Tamper Data (edit and modify form and HTTP headers)
And a few others.
