View Full Version : do i remove the heater?

as i have removed the bulkhead in the nova if i use the heater while engine running it will blow the fumes into the car do i seal it and make a small stainless box around it or remove and smooth over it?

any opinions?

if you remove it you will need a heated screan for demisting just 1 thing to consider

did they do heated screens as standard in novas?

if so take it that would have been late mk2's or gte/gsi models only

Nope not as standard. You can buy aftermarket heated screens though. Costs about £180 or so IIRC

ok i no some people have heated front screens when they build rally and hillclimb cars ect maybe someone will have one forsale soon.

just leave the heater in place mate as it will work fine and the fume issues never bothered me.

leave the heater in bud. i removed mine when i built it. Then went to PNG Rolling Road day in Northampton and froooozzze my nuts off as it was also snowing.2 hour journey:cry:
otherwise just keep a scarf,woolly hat and gloves in therelol

sort out some large bore flexi pipe, and fix it up for normal use so that it is removable for showing etc.......
