Its gone again!!! dammit, anyway im gonna try and get it all done in one day next week.

Ive also got hold of a weber 32/34 and i wanna run that instead of the pierburg 2e3.
Im running a 1200 head on a 1400 block so is it ok to keep the weber on the 1200 manifold it came off and bolt that on the head.
Ive heard of buying adapter plates to fit the weber to a 1300 or 1400 manifold but would the way ive exlplained be easier?

thanks

if you have a 2e3 on ur car then you already have either a 1.3 or 1.4 manifold. The 2e3 doesn't fit the 1.2 manifold.

U will have to get a plate to convert it. Dunno is 1.4 conversoin is diff to 1.3 though. Has your inlets got Cathedral shaped tops? Rounded at top or are they square?
If square then its 1.4 manifold, if not its 1.3.

u dont seem to understand what ive said.

Im running a 1200 head, so ive got a 1300 manifold to fit the 2e3, what im asking is can i just run the weber straight on the 1200 manifold or do i need to buy an adapter plate for the 1300 one.

ah, i see. So you have the 1.3 manifold on at the moment but have the 1.2 manifold kicking about. Thats what threw me.

The Weber 32/34 DMTL has to go on the 1.3 or 1.4 manifold i'm pretty sertain as it also has 2 barrels and requires a manifold with 2 holes in.

You need to buy the Direct Replacement kit.

1.3sr manifold

1.4sr manifold which has been machined to allow better flow and converted for Weber 32/34

Mike Oxfords weber 32/34 on what looks like 1.4 manifold

this is very odd, cos the carb came off a 1200 and it was sitting n a standard 1200 manifold, maybe its not a 32/34, will there be any markings anywhere that should say what it is??

where did u go to get your 1.4 manifold machined like that, that must of made a massive improvement on top-end.

i'd expect it to have weber 32/34 DMTL on it somewhere

there is a weber direct replacement for the 1b1 but its not a twin choke carb

take some pics of the carb and let us see

it says weber 32 34 stamped on the carb, just where it goes suqare at the bottom where you would expect the sandwich plate / adapter plate to be....... (at the front)

All ive found on it is ' Weber 36 TML'

Worth putting this on rather than the 2E3 ????

thats the single choke replacement for the 1b1 not a twin choke carb :/

So, is it not worth using it?

If u are sure you have the 1.3 manifold then the Weber 36 TML WILL NOT FIT.
Find out what ur manifold is for certain. If it has 1 hole in then its a 1.2.
If it has 2 then its a 1.3/1.4.

Get a 32/34 to replace the 2e3. (1.3/1.4)

Or a 36 TML to replace the 1b1. (1.2)
