ring any local truck spares place.... pretty much every make has them & there are some really funky designs about.

would that just be the wiper arm, and run a pipe to supply water to jet?

Iam sure i seen someone on here do this the other day, and said that it was from a merc sprinter, they put the washer jet onto there wiper arm, and ran the pipe to the bottle ?

the merc sprinter has a clip on washer jet which simply clips onto the wiper arm!

so sprinter would be way togo but if the jet just clips off could i just use the jet and and keep nova wiper arm?

wouldnt the sprinter wiper arm be to big for the nova?

with the sprinter, they have a grommet & a clever pipe adaptor that works as a bulkhead connector, so you run a normal pipe up to it from below, then a thin black one on the outside. you can actually buy some wipers with a jet built into them, i just got some 24" ones for a daf

edit.. use any arm you like, the clips are separate items

what do i need to do this then just the sprinter washer jet and maybe wiper blade if there a complete unit?

well. it depends on what arm you are using, what size blade you need, and take it from there.... the sprinter was used as an example of the fact that its been done before.. apart from the clips, grommet, pipe joiner & possibly the jet, no other parts would be at all useful. the sprinter windscreen is bigger than a nova......i did take a sprinter washer arm off the other week i'll try & find it in the scrap bin

ok mate well id want a 19inch blade i think 19s the biggest you can fit with single wiper on nova with the nova arm and a blade with build in jet.

I think in terms of windscreen wiper blades, as long as you have the right size, you can have any you like really. But i may be wrong

need a 18 or 19inch wiper blade with a washer jet fitted to it and must be a aero flat style wiper

db_1.2
20-12-10, 11:19 PM
Ive yet to see an aero wiper with a washer jet fitted to it. Most modern cars fitted with aero wipers have fan type washers. Most probably because if the areo wiper had a washer jet fitted to it, it would ruin the areodynamics of design of the wiper.

Citroen ZX has a system that clips to the wiper arm so you can use any blade you like. I had this on one of my old Vauxhalls with single wiper conversion and it worked a treat.

Renault espace's have the jets built in (thats what the VX220 ones are in that ebay ad ;) )

I had an espace one on my vx till I needed to fit a shorter blade to avoid a crack and pass the MOT lol

i think il buy them vx220 wiper baldes with the jets use the standard nova arm if the blade will fit it then a washer bag mounted in boot.

Sprinters blind you for a split second thanks to this system! It's more effective at shifting general crap from the screen though.
