no, make up an addaptor to fit the turbo flange to the existing exh manifold

In this case your probably right due to the size of it more than anything but the modern diesel turbos are made of the same materials as the petrol ones.

There is a how to threat in articles have a look in there IIRC it shows you how to adapt your existing one to mount a turbo.
