hey guys a saab has come up really cheap only problem is the engine is fubarbed apparently.

the engine in it is currentl the 2.0l turbo type i have had a quick scout on ebay and found a saab 9-3 2.3 turbo b234 engine for not to much cash

was wondering would the block + head go with all my 2.0l turbo bits. i know the 2.3 turbo using the hi pressure turbo and the 2.0l turbo using the low turbo at the minute would it still work ok.

would it be easy to the block and head (using the 2.0l turbo gearbox?) turbo alternator startmotor as well (2.0l) or would it be quicker and easy and less of a headache just to find another 2.0l

thanks :)

coming from ford now back to vauxhall/saab :thumb:

Bear in mind the B234 came with three different turbos, E, L and R. Might find the engine is cheap as it has the E turbo. Although I think the 9-3 only had teh R

aren't all the different ends the same? on the 2.0l

and i thought there was just low blow and high blow turbo's?

E 170bhp
L 200bhp
R 225bhp

^ thats for the 2.3 btw (2.0 also has three variations of turbos). The only 9-3 to use the 2.3T engine was the Viggen model according to Parkers, which will have had the R blower.
