hi, putting my mk1 clio 1.8l 16v (140bhp model) up for sale as ive not got time to do anything with it (already have a daily driver and a nova 2.0l project on the go at the minute) so its just been sat on the drive for a few months (hence has ran out of tax and m.o.t), and it really deserves a new home, looking for a quick sale as everytime i take it round the block i want to keep it ! this would make an ideal track car as is, or with m.o.t and tax would make a decent road car for someone anyways heres a quick spec on it;

J reg. mk1 clio 1.8 16v (140bhp)

bodywork;
has had a full respray at some point in its life with gold flake in the laquer instead of silver (very subtle, doesnt look like its had glitter thrown over it like them holographic painted cars)

black angel eye headlights (comes with standard lights aswell)

smoked lexus rear lights (not the chavvy silver ones) (comes with standards aswell)

from standard it came with the wider arches than the base model clios and also has the bonnet bulge/intake and also spoiler

is on some megane coupe 14's (1 or 2 tyres may need changing soon) wheels are in good condition with a bit of curbing on 1 or 2 (nothing major)

interior;

standard 16v stuff apart from having a momo boss kit and momo steering wheel

and has a full alarm with remote locking

engine/chassis;

engine is the 1.8 16v thats 140bhp as standard,

K 'n' N airfilter

stainless exhaust with a 3.5" backbox (proper car specific one not bodged universal tat)

is lowered on peter maiden shocks and lowering springs up front (id guess at -60mm) and the rear torsion bar has been lowered to suit, with uprated shocks, the car really does handle like a go kart

onto the bad bits (as all cars have )

2-3"crack on the osf wing (from when the car was on 17's)

engine is over fueling a bit (still starts and runs fine but is a bit thirsty)

bubbling on one rear arch (not come through paint yet)

drivers mirror has been knocked off but comes with car (painted cover un damaged)

and no tax or test

that about sums it up really, this is a lightweight fast car that pulls like a train and will go wherever you point it, and a lot of car for the money,

i know with a full ticket and tax these go for £1k+ , but ive really not got the time to be doing this and thats why the price is at a very reasonable

£450ono (but will listen to offers as need this gone now!!!)

im located in stockport manchester (sk3) and car can be viewed anytime between 7 in the morning and 10 at night any tests/inspections welcome

What's it like for rust? Any reason it wont pass an mot?

rust wise its pretty solid mate, has had new arches in the past and theres a bit of bubbling coming thru where the new panels been welded to the old one, nothing serious just being honest, as for mot nothing really stands out (other than wing mirror not on it(if thats a fail?? lol)) and would probably benefit from a service but nothing major up with it. its just been sat on my dads drive not doing much lately and he's started moaning to shift it now lmao

iirc drivers mirror IS a fail, you need that one + one other (doesn't matter which)

Didnt notice the mirror lol il have a think about it mate and get back to you. seems a bargain so shouldnt be around for too long (although i seem to remember this for sale on here at the beginning of the year?)

yeah it was up on here about 2-3months back, had a few messers so i planned to give it some tlc then sell it on for more (didnt get round to doing it thru being busy with family/work) so now got it up for less to get some xmas drinking funds lol if it doesnt sell now im just going to strip it then weigh it in now (worth considerably more than im asking as a breaker but after fast cash atm mate) if you need anymore pics ect i can go and get them for u
