1.2i POP POP

why does my 1.2i exaust pop when i tap the accelerator. is this normal?

i expect there is a hole in your exhaust somewhere. Check where the manifold and downpipe connect and see if any exhaust fumes are escaping there

I dunno why it happens but mine do's the same must be something to do with the throttle position sensor thinking your gonna boot it and it ups the injector pulse or something like that consequensing in over fueling and backfiring

Most likely a hole in your exhaust or a leaky gasket somewhere, as said by Alex.
Pop the bonnet and have a listen as you rev the engine..

Mine did that before i changed the engine. the 1.2i always does this for some reason?

Try this: rev the car to about 3000 rev's, turn ignition off and on quickly while putting the pedal to the floor. when it switches back on it should bang rapidly like a machine gun!
