New poster,,looking for your opinions on MK1/MK2'conversions

Howya all

If bought a 93 nova Its the 4th one Ive owned over the years and the first MK2

I am planning on converting it to a MK1..
With the nova fast becoming a classic Am I mad changing it or do you think I should keep it MK2 like the reg will suggest :confused:

Find a mk1 imo, they rot less and less messing around.

Mk2 would find you changing the dash too, as mk1 dash is so much cooler!

i've got a mk1 nova with a mk2 dash
as its a thousand times better looking
the mk1 dash is just sat all hidden away in the shed so nobody has the trouble of looking at such an awful thing ;)

Have a MK1 dash aswell and was planning on putting it in too......It will All look MK1 other than the reg and side bump strips as im thinking SR rep with it...Was going to do a GTE rep but because the bump strips are all present I dont want to pull them off(unless I found MK1 SR bump strips)

if you want to do a proper job you also need to change the rooflining, abc post trims, seat belt holders as mk1 and mk2 are different.

Its a southern irish reg plate,they read the year of registered,the county it was registered and the the number the car was registered in the county that year.....Here is an eg...93 D 1472

Unless the car is mint and 100% standard already, and you dont plan to use it much so you can keep it that way, then do what you want, just dont Jap kit it up or anything uber gey like that.
