The country was predicting that the snow was coming back today. Few hours ago it was just hailing a bit but now big ass snowflakes are dropping and if it wasnt for the ground being so wet im sure it would be sticking badly.

What are your areas like? Are we going to get it proper like a few weeks ago? :wtf:

I believe so, however the forecast for me isn't til friday... Had a brief sleety shower yesterday, but I'm not so sure it will stick... Supposed to be fecking cold tonight so ice... So yeah could stick if it snowed... I hate this weather...

We had rain this morning....then it turned to big proper fluffy snow flakes, which did not lie as it was too wet.....Now the sun is out and it's blue sky!!

We have to drive over to Newcastle on Saturday so it could be interesting, if we make it and back, we also need to go to Edinburgh on Sunday which could be a different story as i'm sure they still have the last load of snow.

Me thinks the survival bag needs pulling out and filling.:)

Predicted heavy rain today then sleet/snow tonight and heavy snow at the weekend.

[edit] Oh wait, now its changed to light rain today (as yet no rain) then heavy snow in the early hours of tomorrow morning  See my previous thread about BBC LOL

We have about 4-5cm as predicted. Been out in the BMW with the winter wheels on and that had no traction which was fun :D Then took out the 306 and that was worse.

I am going to put the other wheels back on the BMW to see if they are any better, the tread looks like it will be much better for snow use. Those run flats look and are terrible, but I am not forking out for snow tyres until these are worn.

LOL considernig the pics above I took yesterday and the snow has melted a little (ok so its a bit icy but still).

Just heard on the radio that "Nick in Yeovil is snowed in"... I felt like ringing in and asking why this Nick was such a pussy lol

And this was on a friend's status on Facebook yesterday:

Alex Dale i wrote my car off last night.
Alex Dale straight into concrete. Bam! somehow walked away completely uninjured! the police said they'd seen fatalities for less...
Now, I don't know the guy, but surely if you went "straight into concrete. Bam!" at a speed that would have caused "fatilities for less" then you were clearly going too fast. What a fcuking dobbin.

I got overtook by a newb on a 307 yesterday night, bearing in mind the roads here last night were white over about 2" deep with snow/slush :S about half a mile up the road said newb's 307 was stacked headlong into a hedge.

Would have lent him my phone to call for a recovery, but he was a big black geezer. And where I live big black geezers tend to be not to friendly lol

Had 2 maybe 3 inches friday night/saturday. Still here today. Went to Calne (about half an hour south of Swindon) yesterday morning at about half 8. That was fun!!

Not going out today. Well apart from to the parents later for dinner. Nom.

I had similar, overtook a BMW in the snow on a dual carriageway, judged what was a safe speed for the conditions and pulled back into the clearer side of the road, and he overtakes me at about 55 on the snow... surprised he didn't plow into the queue at traffic lights tbh

Make him a cup of tea then tell him you've got to go to your parents for dinner. Hopefully he'll get the hint and not invite himself with you
