Hi guys i was wondering how you run a equal length setup on a nova? i have a equal length shaft and thought about cutting and welding it? im sure that was what was done on my old V6 to run a 5 stud setup?

I know CA did a conversion shaft but . . . we wont go there lol

any ideas??

EDIT: There is. I was slow to reply! lol

I guess a cut and shut one would work, but i'd be wary of it!

well i had 5 stud setup on my v6 and that was fine lol?

well if you want to save some bob then cut and weld. maybe get it spun by an engineer to get it balanced. seen it done before and the shaft ended up snapping but not at the weld somewhere else. so its possible to make a really good strong weld. but unless your the dogs bollacks at welding and have good expensive equipment to penetrate the toughened /strenghtened metal i wouldnt bother

problem lies in,

For the money it costs to buy the part that fits, is it worth trying to locate a skilled fabricator get them cut and balenced and then refinished, when you could have the parts delivered to your door for less than £150, its a no brainer to me
