my 1.2 sx build

bout time i done this i bought the car of my nan in the summer for £40 its a 1.2sx on a k plate im now the second owner from new

this was the day i got it back

it has never been polished in it life so just had a quick cut at the roof see how much work it would take to get it back

then i started to look round it and start to really how bad it was

so then the work started i plated the door the wing front inner arch the rear arch the driver side front wing

so then i set about the engine i bought my self a 1600sv to drop in so riped out the 1200

1600

1200 out and on the floor

then found more holes to be plated up

then droped the 1600 in and fitted new shocks and spring all round went 40 mm but now unsure it that was enought

and now not looked at it in the last two weeks just seem to have run out of steem with it

the only thing ive done thats not pictured is fit a set of astra sport steels

Whats it like behind the rear shocks?

I would wire wheel the underseal off the inner arches, and rear tubs to inspect.

thanks dude ive taken all the underseal off the front and found load of holes done them all and reundersealed them and as for the back im in the mindle of doing it but not found any think yet

gotta get it rubbed down ready to be sprayed but unless i find any more holes then no not really i dont thinks so unless any one can tell me somthink they think i should do

ive just got the gsi skitsand gsi front bumper going to do them black or gray and the car red again

yer was just going to polish it up and sling in a 1600 but then when i fould the holes i decided it needed more than a little polish lol

Why a 1600 SV engine? Good to see you getting stuck in to welding it up, underneath not too bad?

Under side really good mate and the 1600sv was mainly because is was cheep but it also came witha carb its now been lightened and blanced flattop pistons 1600 se head been flowed with 3 angle valve seats valve been worked and mum and dad are getting me a cam for christmas

lol mate i cant have it sitting around to long ive got to get my 2.0 hot rod in there and get that done as well ready for next year and as for the battey try thats was rotten so been plated and the boot floor is really good the front end of the car was rotten but the back is really good

it time to get back in to the nova now as work has just taken over this last month ive got my head skimed and back only took 65 thow of it so should be good just looking at wot cam to get but for now ill get it back together so i can just start it and move it round

hey guys ive not been on in ages and nothing mor been done on the car ive been snowed under at work repairing and building race car and when i get home at night i just dont feel like working on the nova but ive gotta get it done now as iv just booked pv tickets so looking for some motivation its sat in the shed on axle stands two wheels painted half rubbed down all panles repaired engine fitted exhaust on side skirts bumpers primed so come on so help needed

quick update ive been on holiday for the last week and my dad and mate have done a bit of work on the nova its been rubed down and spayed and ive flated it off today ready to be sprayed again tomorrow night as quite dusty ill get some pics up soon

not at all mate its a clarke 150ltr v twin compressor mate ant as fo gun ill have to find out for u as i used one from the body shop at dads work as ive not got round to replacing mine yet

Hey guy and girls I've had to put the nova on the road early as my every day cars (vectra 07 cdti) gearbox expired in a big way spat 5TH gear out the front of the box its only done 60077 miles.
the nova got a few odd jobs still to be done on it but all in all I'm well happy with the old girl flew though mot no probs lovely to drive I've done 250 miles over the weekend in it and its not missed a beat so here a few pictures of it on way back from mot

them cesaros (sp) look the nuts on it.
ive not looked at this thread for ages but ive just looked from start to finish and credit where credit's due that now is one cool car you've made a nice job of it.

Cesaros looks cool, but most vaux wheels in white would imo.
Get some bumper stripe tape on there and your onto a winner

Thanks for the nice comments lads I really happy with the car and the way its turned out and just added up all the bits I've got fot the car and its all been done for under £600

As for bumper stripes I got them done last night alone withe the centers for the sport wheel

Just the inside to clean up now ready for pvs.

quick update ive decided im not happy with the wheels and as i cant fid any that really take my fancy ive decided to repaint mini first off i tryed black not keen on it against the grey side skirts
