my clutch doesnt croak!!! that is all

took it out and spent an hour and a bit dripping oil and grease in it and flossing! no more croak..... give it a week though!

After I lubed up my clutch cable in the Nova it never once did it again even after 4 years of use

i thought it was the spring and never though anything over it just as a nousense but its loverly not having it there. Any cable opertated vauxhall sodding does it. well i know mk3 astras, novas and now cavaliers do it. crack out the oil guys its pleasent stuff

Aye my old TD used to do it but never as loud as a nova but my word the SRi lets the world know when youre changing gear lol

lol no its a cheap dodgey clutch that does that. fine call my beautiful mustard sr not a nova. for shameeeee :)

cav's do squeak both mine have, but when I changed my clutch and box it's stopped for all of 2 week and weirdly I missed it haha (sad I no) but it's one of them things that's there on most vauxhalls

My clutch is quiet... brake squeaks though so I stay sane :)

I had someone comment on the squeak at the weekend, she doesnt drive so was a bit alarmed by it at first.

"should your car be making that noise?"

Reply - "yes its 17 years old and a Nova" lol

i got rid of the squeak on my old one and started to miss it :(

the squeak is a part of the charm, i always thought it was the pedal joint not the cable
