Is this possible?

I have an f reg nova and i want to get rid of the manual choke for an automatic choke.

Is this possible??

only if you fit a carb with automatic choke (off an SR). The auto choke works off your coolant temperature so is just a case of running a few extra hoses

Would it not have to be a single point injection with all that electronic stuff ?

Thats what i thought anyway :S

Sure, but I would advise you don't. The auto choke on the pierburg carb is notoriously pants. The Manual choke is far better IMO.

Lots of people convert back to what you have, consider yourself lucky :)

what electronic stuff Lewi? It works off water temp mate. Shouldn't this thread be in Mechanical anyway?

i thought the auto choke worked off some electronics on the SPi engines.

But i dont know.

Injection engines don't have chokes, they have cold start maps ;)

so i would be best keeping the manual choke then?

In my opinion, from my experience, yeah.

Definately keep the manual choke. With a little experience you'll have no problems starting on a cold morning, just remember that less is more :)
