do mk2 doors fit a mk1 nova ?

Yes the same, the very early doors had differnt handle/lock barrel location( only slight)

Maybe someone can check EPC, but I believe the window seals to be different too (or the actual doors different in this area)

i know if they have surrounds they have different rubbers etc.
but normal door for door should be alike

I had new sills (surrounds) for my doors a few years ago on the GSi. The passenger door was changed for a rust free (mk1 door) & the rubber sill never fitted properly on that side. Now I know the doors arent the same, I wonder.

Rubber seals around the windows did change on them, although I'm not 1005 sure when they did. I think it was around 87 when they facelifted the mark 1.....
