i read in yesterdays paper that a man has been employed to translate geordie into english.. as part of his job at a large company, he has to translate such things as cv's & job application forms into english...

just how hard is it to translate 'done bugger all leek'???

discuss & also put up dialect words you need translating.

ps. my missus once yelled at a call centre person 'where the hell are you from, i can't understand you' and the reply was 'newcastle'

i can't believe that someone would actually fill in a form in 'geordie' when it is simply the queens english, but in a slightly different accent, it should still be written the same......

i personally hate the joxt, scots txt speak, a is not the same as i......
