If they are second hand items make sure all of the jets are cleaned and all the fuel seals are okay. Fuel floats go back up and stop extra fuel coming into the bowls, this saves a load of hassle after you have fitted them :thumb:

Another thing to watch out for is over tightening the thackly washers, there needs to be a bit of play in the carbs once they are mounted to stop the fuel inside from frothing up:thumb:

is the sr fuel injection or carb? just if FI you could damage the internals of the carb as there designed to run about 3.5psi of pressure not 45psi or so of pressure

Throw a regulator on just to be safe... Sytec make some 1-5psi regulators for only £23 or so

its just a sr on a carb.

Standard pump will be fine, as above just stick a regulator on :)

Ran my twin 40's on a standard cam driven pump with no regulator for about two years, rolling road guy said pressure was spot on so left them as was until revs killed the pump and then went electric facet with a filter king inc regulator.

Totally agree with that.

Bruv tried a regulator on his Sport, but it caused problems. We ditched it after it caused a misfire (low fuel pressure) at Snetterton, and he came from the back to win his class.

I never used a regulator on my Sport, 16 wins from 18 starts says something.
