indicator problem

when i put my left indiacotr on it flashes ok on the frot and side but the back one sort of flashes lightly with the brake light if i push the brake the indicator will stop completely.i checked earth by the lock in the boot and the one in the engine bay both r fine. also changed the brake light switch but still have problem any 1 got any ideas?????

shorting on the bodywork somewhere? check where wires come into contact with metal if the metal has rubbed through the sheathhing

If I remember corectly there are 2 possibly earthign points in the boot, by the n/s light cluster under the plastic cover, and in the middle on the boot floor under where the door closes.

Clean up connections and give it a go.
