c20xe head bolts

can some one tell me if it matters if i put the 105mm head bolts in the early c20xe engine i think theyre ment to be 110mm but just got of the phone to some bloke selling them and said it doesnt mater what bolt size have other people used

Do the different length XE head bolts have different heads? My mate made the mistake of fitting the shorter ones and reckoned he had nowt but trouble. He has a history of wrecking things though!

The ones he removed were supposedly the longer type, inhex heads on them.

Can you not measure the bolts you took out?

I remember i had this problem when i rebuilt mine. But i cant remember the outcome! I think i just got the same as what was in there.
