just wondering which are the better manifolds the 4 2 1 or the 4 1

or does it just depend on who is making it? thinking about buying a new one as i have a powerflow system to the manifold so thinking its time for a upgrade

4-2-1 give you more low and mid range grunt 4-1 gives you peak. in all honesty your better off with a 4-2-1 as you spend more time in the mid range than you ever will on full chat. tony law exhausts do an awesome 4-2-1 manifold not sure on prices now but when i got mine maybe 18months or so ago it was £323 posted but my xe is built for 250or so bhp. you may find a janspeed or similar for about £180

I had a 4-1 Magnex and it was quiet a bit bigger than standard, but as Phil said did shift the power to higher up the rev range, and some times it felt flat until it hit about four grand
