oil presure sender needed?

Alrite guys im fitting a c25xe into my nova and im trying to sort out my alternator belt out.

The oil pressure sender is right in the path of the belt, if I fit a single wire sender from my old 1400 8v then I have the clearance required but what im unsure of is whether the ecu needs the 2 wire sender or whether it will be ok with my new setup?

As far as i know the ECU doesn't have anything to do with oil pressure. Then sender only does the clocks. A single pin one will only give you a warning light. A twin one with work the gauge..
