I know it may seem a bit stupid, but i need a full set of axle stands soon. Its for a car im hoping to get near concourse standards for next RS Combe and Ford Fair.

What does everyone else use? I didnt want to scratch the paint underneath, as im hoping to get some mirrors to show the underneath.

That sounds like a good idea.

The only reason i asked really, was i didnt want to damage the underbody. I didnt know if anyone with any concourse experience had preference.

I just use Halfords ones, put a rag or cloth on them and it'll protect the underneath (hasn't ruined my stonechip and paint on the underside of mine)

That was my initial thought, probably the best one too

just to be on the safe side i would use a old sponge to put on the axle stand

No complaints with the halfords ones here either, usually get a good package deal with trolley and trolley jack etc this time of year.
