View Full Version : Insurance Update
Got a letter from my solicitor suggesting that because the accident was on a round about and there were no witnesses that it should go knock for knock. 50/50 so even thought im only TPFT i will get 50% of what ive lost (50% of the price of me car) cus it was wrote off. so i will still end up ?500 better off after the money for repairs.
what dya think??
sounds good to me, anything you can get back is better than nothing. can always use the money to fix ya motor/ do some mods
if you're ?500 up can't complain really can ya
could try pushin for a bit more to pay for possibly increaded insurance in the future cos you'll have to declare your accident even though it's non fault
up to you cara depends how greedy you wanna be!
how come it has to go 50/50 because of roundabout?
there was no witnesses either
becuz she shud have given way and he shudnt of been going so quick. hard to say who was at fualt

I expected it to be joint liability coz of the circumstances of the accident.

speed will not be an issue as cannot be proven.
if she should have given way then lucky with 50/50
who is offering the 50/50 your ins or theirs?

one thing that you may be able to barter for is the value of your car... they will usually offer you a lower value at first, which you should refuse...
if you get a higher value of your car, the 50% value will odviously go up too. :D
