immobilizer/ key chip/transponder
immobilizer/ key chip/transponder
sounds more like it, do they have a egr?
i was thinkig it could be the chip/transponder but surely it wouldnt start at all if it was that. ive got the transponder wired up but the van was a stolen recovered so no barrel. i have the key taped to the transponder atm
immobilizer/ key chip/transponder sounds like this. And have you got a strutbrace fitted? Been trying to find out what one fits but no body seems to know :(
no strutbrace, id say any will fit. looking at mine the rear bank is probably a lot lower than the standard inlet would be.
does the vss have to be wired up for it to idle? as it is i have the red/blue wire cnnected to an ak transducer, but i dont have theplug for the top of it so ive crimped some terminals onto the wires and fitted them to the pins, but if i disconect the transducer it will still fire te same then cut straight out

find a ecu starting PN this will plug stright into your loom and rid you of the transponder etc.... We just cut mine out.
im not running a c25 its an x25 pn wont work on this engine. ive got a load of pn coded ecus here
When you say fire, does it properly fire and start for a brief moment or just fart once or twice.... Mine did the latter when we lopped the immobilzer out.
im having the same problem with a c25xe, this is what i have found on the net but i dont have a plug yet to try mine,
Immobilizer:
1 - Brown/Red Alarm Input (Optional)
2 - Brown/Blue Engine Management Light (Optional)
4 - Brown Ground
5 - Black Ignition
6 - Blue/Red Speed signal from ABS/clocks (Optional on V6)
7 - Blue/Red Speed signal to Engine ECU (Transponder signal)
8 - Brown/White Diagnostic (Optional)
9 - Red 12V
hope this helps fella
immobilizer/ key chip/transponder
Nope it won't start at all if that's the problem, just ignition on..
It will turn over though and try to start [edit] assuming the 3.0 chip is the same as the 2.5
it turns over and fires up for a second then goes back to just turning over.
can the immobiliser be removed??
mate just flashed up the codes off the ecu all hes text me is that he counted the flashes and theyre
10 - 3 - 3 - 5
1 - 5 - 10 - 2
10 - 5 - 5 - 10
dont know how to read them does anyone know how?
or how to remove the immobiliser
10's are zero's on fault codes Dan.
Your fault codes are actually
0335
1502
0550
Google them codes, something like: Vauxhall V6 error code 0335 etc
Bosch Motronic ECU Fault Codes (http://www.topbuzz.co.uk/info/fault_codes/fault_codes.htm#bosch)
[edit] Those codes don't match up to Bosch ones though, are you sure he has them right?
Incidentally, how did he flash the codes? I need to do mine but there's no diag port to short out on my loom
Erth the brown and yellow wire i think
is there a way to take out the immobiliser???
You'd need a non-immobilized ECU (one from an early Calibra, possibly early cav iirc) - I'm sure there's a thread in here or in mech about the V6 which notes the ECU code required
Does the pedal test not work on these older style ECU's then? To flash them like.

will the older ecu work on the x25xe then i have pn ecus here just didnt think they would work on the veccy lump
whats the pedal test?
