it's as easy as A B C
and roof, mk1 has viynal covers and the roof lining goes down the c posts, mk2 has plastic covers on all posts and different seatbelt mounts on the b post due to the height adjusters.

I am thinking about the same with my Mk2, short falls of mk2 are...dashboard without quarterlight blowers, really noticing this just now. Crappy cover behind cambelt, cant access the thermostat. naff 1.2 engine underpowered compared to carb version, and so on! Love mk1s including all thier faults!

id be changing the front end back bumper and dash and hopefully fit the gte interior as well just love my mk1,s. the mk1 ive got the now has more better stuff than the mk2 lol as in remote central locking electric windows calibra heated leather etc and a nice juicy retop lol, but once ive got that done then i think im going to chuck in a carb engine i built a carb engine a few years ago for a mate just a 1.4 block with 1.6 head and carb and it was a great revy wee engine that went like stink just basicly want it old skool mk1 stuff carbs and the like

Whenever you do see one its GSi kit with speedlines, i think people now think that novas came standard with speedlines lol

thing that puts me off as well is mk2 suits white wouldnt have it in any other colour but my white gsi rep with speedlines got writtin off and my good mate andy with his white gsi and speedlines got killed in his in september so thats all putting me off as well so its a red mk1 gte rep for me im afraid

Im getting freeked out here...I used to own a mk1 the image of the one in your avator...The Mk2 I bought is a ringer for the one you bought and the plans in your mind for your's are the same.......I used the same gte pic on an Irish forum the other week when asking this question on there...Are you my long lost twin......Only want to know if your stinking rick though:p !!!!!
