i was supposed to be picking one up today 1.8 ecotech just before i left he txt saying the ecu has lost its memory is this possible supposed to be a replacement ecu still under warrenty??

they dont just lose memory.. what exaactly has happened?

i thought that he just said its lost its memory and some ones comming tomoz to sort it as its under warranty

i would be weary mate, does he work for vauxhall? how does he know the ecu is tried? they dont just die like that and to fit anew one means programming as well

i thought all this aint the ecotechs immobilised through the ecu? also this was w replacment ecu

you would need to change the ecu which is bolted to the end of the engine as welll as the chip in the key and the transponder ring bit around the ignition as i use to break mrk4's

Perhaps it could be re-programmed to persuade it to be a GTR?
