Are these separate to the main car loom or built in like the SPi models?

All one loom. I tore my hair out when doing my XE. Just ripped the whole lot out and got a new loom.

Built in I'm afraid. It can be separated though it's a bit of a mission and the loom has some horrible sticky goo behind the tape.

I did it on mine for the DTA for a number of reasons, don't know as I'd recommend it if you're staying OEM.

Just considering my engine options to be quite honest...Im rebuilding my car loom at the minute as minimal as possible (only essential wiring being kept, everything else removed) so would need a separate loom if i was to go injection
